An endobronchial tube is a double-lumen tube designed for insertion into the bronchus of one lung to facilitate deflation of the other lung during anesthesia or thoracic surgery procedures. Both double-lumen tubes feature a cuffed endobronchial portion and a tracheal cuff, with the endobronchial portion curved to accommodate either left or right placement. These tubes are passed blindly, and their positioning should be confirmed using bronchoscopy for optimal placement accuracy.
